Description
This is the fifth collection of poetry from the members of the Parkland Poets’ Society.
Published in 2023.
With the Covid-19 pandemic recently behind us, new paths are being forged and thus the theme for this year’s works: Routes and/or Roots. Where are we from? Where are we going? How are we getting there? Belonging, connection, home, and heart are common threads that bind these poems and their creators. Community ;has taken on a whole new meaning in recent years and a longing to make sense of who we are and where we belong is prevalent. The words are raw, and true, and authentic. They weave together what we’ve lost and what we’ve found with gentle insight, humility, and humanity.
