Description

Fourth Anthology of the Parkland Poets’ Society.

Published in 2021.

This edition of Parkland Poets’ annual collection of poetry was largely compiled in 2021, during the second year of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is no surprise, then, that many of the poems gathered here reflect themes of loss and longing mixed in with an exploration of the fear and sadness that accompanies loss.

The poems of this collection also challenge us to consider a whole range of existential questions. The seeking that takes place throughout the collection often leads a reader toward connection… with others, with the self, and with nature.

Learning to live with all of the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic has required wit, humour and hope. There is no shortage of these characteristics int he poems included in this fourth annual anthology of a poetry group that has sustained many people throughout the pandemic.
