Annual General Meeting
As a registered Non-Profit Society, The Parkland Poets’ Society holds an Annual General Meeting in March each year. The AGM allows members to review the full and complete financial statements for the previous year, as well as discuss the society’s activities of the previous year.
What To Expect at Our AGM
- Individual reports from members of the Board of Directors (president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, projects),
- Review and report of the financial statements for the previous year,
- Election of the President,
- Election of the officers/directors of the board (up to 8, excluding associates),
- A preview of upcoming events, and
- Any other business that affects, or is of interest to, the members.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors meets on the first Thursday of each month to make decisions related to the readings series, society budget, special event schedule and planning, and address any concerns or suggestions from the membership. Each elected position is for a one-year term.
Board membership is a volunteer position, and we are grateful for the generosity of the elected members who give so freely of their time and energy to keep Parkland Poets amazing.
